- Gallery 3: holga 120
Holga is a cheap, medium format (120) film toy camera, first introduced in China in 1982 as a mass-market camera for the working-class Chinese to record daily events.
Nowadays, it is a camera associated with "lomography", a photography style characterised by casual snapshot.
Holga is notorious for its unpredictability due to its pretty rubbish construction. Ironically, it is also the poor constuction that gives Holga photos their unique surreal quality - heavy vignetting, soft focus around the edges, etc.
